USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalist and USDF Certified Dressage Instructor

Meet Jessie

Horses became not only my fun after-school activity, but my emotional lifeline after losing my mother when I was 11. I fell in love with dressage because I truly believe it can benefit every horse and rider and elevate their bond.

I grew up in Newfoundland, Canada and moved to the United States in 2001. I graduated from the University of Massachusetts, where I first started training with Christopher Hickey, to whom I owe the bulk of my dressage education. I graduated from Temple Law School in 2011 and practiced law for a few years. It may be cliché, but life is short, so I made the big, scary decision to resign and focus full time on my passion: horses and dressage!

I've been "animal crazy" my entire life.

A little about me...

In 2015 JP Dressage LLC was established in Ohio where I had a lot of dedicated students and wonderful training horses. Opportunities eventually led my horses and me to North Carolina, then Wellington, FL year-round where I had the amazing opportunity to train with Tuny Page and Ali Brock.

In 2021 I moved to beautiful Lancaster County, PA and became Head Trainer at Kynynmont Connemaras LLC to work for Pam Liddell. I have moved around a lot, but to me, home is where the horses are!

We lost Pam in February of 2024 after a courageous and long battle with cancer. I consider myself the steward of her horses and ponies she so carefully bred. I am staying on as trainer for Pam’s ponies, but can also board clients of my own at Kynynmont Farm as the “Kynynmont Kids” find their new homes and stalls become available. I am very excited to get back to teaching and for the chance to share the beautiful farm with my future students and their horses.
